Understanding Our Approach
What is the mission of Accurate Faith?
Our mission is to bridge the gap between “blind belief” and “accurate understanding.” We provide resources that help believers align their faith with the original intent of Scripture, ensuring their spiritual foundation is rooted in truth rather than religious tradition.
Is Accurate Faith affiliated with a specific denomination?
No. We are an independent biblical teaching resource. While we respect various traditions, our primary “category” is Biblical Exegesis and Apologetics, focusing on the historical and covenantal context of the Bible.
What does it mean to have an “accurate” faith?
In many cases, modern faith is treated as a “feeling” or a tool for personal gain. We believe “accurate” faith is a response to the revealed Word of God. As Romans 10:17 states, “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” If the “hearing” (the understanding) is inaccurate, the faith that follows will be misplaced.
How do you approach biblical interpretation (Hermeneutics)?
We follow a Literal-Grammatical-Historical approach. This means:
- Literal: We take the Bible at its word unless the context clearly indicates symbolic language.
- Grammatical: We look at the original Hebrew and Greek to capture nuances lost in translation.
- Historical: We study the culture and audience to whom the words were originally written.
Do you focus more on the Old or New Testament?
We believe the two are inseparable. The New Testament is “concealed” in the Old, and the Old Testament is “revealed” in the New. Our approach treats the entire Bible as one cohesive story of God’s redemption and purpose for humanity.
Is this site for scholars or everyday believers?
Both. While we dive into deep theological waters, our goal is to make “meat” (Hebrews 5:14) accessible to everyone. We believe every believer has the capacity—and the responsibility—to understand the deeper things of God.
What is your view on the relationship between Faith and Purpose?
We believe faith is the “engine” that drives a person toward their God-given purpose. Without an accurate understanding of who God is, it is impossible to accurately walk in the purpose He has for your life.
